Since 2001, Mike has been rocking with some of Great Britains greatest musicians, producers and studio engineers. He founded MpegUK in 2001 and Guitarist TV in 2006. Mike is the guitarist for former Iron Maiden/Lionheart/Praying Mantis guitarist Dennis Stratton's 'Maiden Years Band' and for former Judas Priest frontman Al Atkin's Holy Rage. He has sessioned for UK indie band The Vaseline Rats, he recorded on most of the tracks of the band's new CD.

Demon Deceiver - The Sin Sessions

Al Atkins found South African guitarist Mike de Jager at Madhouse rehearsal studios in Birmingham. Mike joined Al in the winter of 2004 for the start of Al's recording of his December 2006 release CD " Demon Deceiver - The Sin Sessions". After Simon Lees left to join Budgie, Mike took over duties as Al's first choice for live tours and the band toured the US.
Chris Johnson joined the band when Mike left to help Dante Fox during their summer 2005 tour.
With the new final release of the CD, worldwide tours to promote the CD are planned for 2007. {more info...}

Dennis Stratton - Live in NYC

Dennis Stratton hails from the east end of London and his first gig was at a pub called the Bridge House. His first serious band Harvest (later Wedgewood) made their debut in a pub in Stratford called the Cart and Horses.
He went on to form RMD "Remus Down Boulevard" and signed to Jonathan Kings UK Records and recorded "Live at the Marquee". Dennis met Steve Harris and not long after that a telegram arrived from EMI asking him to contact Roy Smallwood - he joined Iron Maiden. Dennis toured and recorded with band which enjoyed massive success.

After suffering from cancer for more than a year, Eric died peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday 6th September 2005. Mpeguk founder, Mike de Jager filmed Eric during a performance at the Birmingham NEC in 2002. The two became friends as it turned out they shared many South African musician friends including Tony Cox and Steve Newman. More Info....
